John Fagan – “The Cable Guy”

A Blog about Cabling, Phone Systems, Networks, Audio/Video, Security & Surveillance

My Story…

As the Project Manager at Dicar Networks in San Jose, I oversee and manage all types of projects including, but certainly not limited to, voice and data cabling, digital and VoIP phone system installations, network design and implementation, surveillance systems and audio/video.

I learned early on in my career that there are a lot of unqualified people and companies working in this industry, and unfortunately, it’s the innocent customers that ultimately suffer.  To that end, I am committed to staying up-to-date on local codes, best practices and emerging technologies by having, and maintaining, the most important industry certifications.  These certifications include:

  • Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD)
  • Telecommunications Project Manager (TPM)
  • BICSI Installer 2

These certifications are administered by the two premier industry trade organizations:

This blog will allow me to share information, stories and the day-to-day experiences in this industry…so check back often, and share your thoughts, comments, and most importantly, your questions..which can be answered in future blogs.

  3. We have a conference room we would like to have wired up. Currently..the wires are all over the place because we do not have internal wall or floor conduits to run the wires through, so the wires are messy, visible, and accident prone.

Can you, please, assist with this?

I can be reached at 562-965-3399 and we are in Fullerton, CA

    Thank you!
